TonightPass

The product

TonightPass is a French ticketing platform for nightlife: find parties near you, book your pass, get in quickly with a QR-code ticket. Organisers create events, manage their staff and follow their sales.

TonightPass and Kitchn are projects of onRuntime Studio, a collective of developers, designers and artists between Paris and Rouen, where I am now lead developer.

It was a team effort. Here is exactly what I did, based on the git history.

Mobile app (Expo)

• Onboarding and the organiser dashboard.
• The Discovery screen redesign: header, styles, featured events, event list, bottom navigation.
• Tickets: upcoming and past tickets, a pass with a QR code.
• The event page and staff management.
• The whole profile and settings area: profile editing, security, payment methods, account, deactivation.

Kitchn, the design system

Kitchn is the open-source component library (React and React Native) used across all TonightPass products.

• 17 components: Avatar, Badge, Checkbox, Collapse, Error, Fieldset, Footer, Image, Link, Note, Scroller, Select, Skeleton, Spacer, Tabs, Textarea, Toggle.
• A scale system rolled out across about 26 components.
• Documentation for many components, the Next.js guide and the contribution guidelines.

Website

• Rebuilt the landing page, for both partygoers and organisers.
• Legal pages in MDX (privacy policy, terms of service).
