Phone won't charge: charging port repair in Rouen
Your phone won't charge, only charges when the cable is held a certain way, or isn't recognised by your computer anymore? The cause is often the charging port (USB-C or Lightning), and sometimes just lint packed at the bottom of it. All brands (iPhone, Samsung, Xiaomi, Google Pixel, Oppo, OnePlus, Huawei, Honor, Motorola…), in Rouen.
Signs of a faulty charging port
- The phone doesn't charge at all with the cable.
- It only charges when the cable is held or tilted.
- The cable doesn't go all the way in, or pops out.
- Your computer doesn't recognise the phone.
- Wireless charging works, but the cable doesn't.
Before you message me
- Try another cable and another charger: they are often the real culprit.
- Look into the port with a light: packed lint stops the cable from seating. Don't scrape it with anything metal.
- Restart the phone and try again.

FAQ
Can a simple cleaning fix it?
Often, yes: lint packed at the bottom of the port stops the cable from making contact. That is the first thing to check before replacing the port.
How much does a charging port repair cost?
It depends on the model and on what is needed (cleaning or replacement). The free quote tells you before any work.
Will I lose my data?
No, a charging port repair doesn't erase data. Backing up before drop-off is still recommended.
